There are three main reasons for creating multiple partitions of your internal drive: We do this by “partitioning,” or dividing, the internal boot disk into two or more sections, each with its own version of the macOS.

Instead, create a new Volume and install the OS you need into it.Ī “dual boot” system disk allows you to run two different operating systems on the same computer.
